FAQ

Good questions.

Is Instaclips free to use?

Completely free. No account, no watermark, no download limits, no ads covering the content. We don't monetise the download flow.

Which Instagram links are supported?

Public reels, feed videos, posts (single photos or carousels), IGTV and stories. Paste any instagram.com/reel/…, /p/…, or /tv/… URL. Links with tracking parameters are handled automatically.

Can I download private reels or from private accounts?

No. Private accounts are gated by Instagram at the server level — no anonymous tool can access them, and Instaclips will not ask you for a login.

Does it work on iPhone and Android?

Yes. Open Instaclips in Safari (iOS) or Chrome (Android), paste the link, tap Download. See our step-by-step guides for iPhone and Android.

Where do the downloaded files come from?

Directly from Instagram's CDN — the same source your browser would load. The file is streamed through Instaclips only to set a proper filename; nothing is stored on our servers after the request completes.

Is downloading Instagram reels legal?

Downloading a reel for personal offline viewing is generally accepted. Re-uploading, commercial use, or stripping attribution is a copyright issue regardless of the tool you use. Respect the creator.
